I Just Took Drugs

I feel like crap. I went to chemistry today and came home. I took drugs. My throat feels like sandpaper. I feel weird and weak. I'm eating cup of noodles. I can't sleep. Pity me. The end.

What's the best way to eat a cup of noodles? It's not to twist it around your fork because it won't stay. It's not to cut it up like spaghetti because you can't cut it. It's not to slurp it up from one end because the broth gets everywhere. Nope. The best way is to dangle it up above your head and slowly lower the noodles into your mouth.

In lieu of the situation I thought I'd just write all my feelings down, because I know that tomorrow when I'm sobered up it'll probably be funny. Or I will say more than I ever wanted anyone to know. Alright then awesome.

I feel excited because classes are almost over! I'm so glad to get out of them. Mostly because I'm doing pre-nursing stuff, and since I'm not doing nursing anymore, I don't need any of these classes. Three more weeks then I have four months of freedom from classes!

I feel helpless because the new chapters in biochemistry are extremely confusing. Especially since my teacher pretty much told us that he assumes we all took biology before his class, so he skips over a bunch of bio stuff, thinking that we already know it. You know what's really funny is when he asks the class, "I'm sure you learned all this in previous science classes. Didn't you?" Then when a bunch of people answer "No," he moves on and skips it anyway. wtf is the Kreb's Cycle and why do I have to memorize it? And I have a ridiculously hard 8 page research paper due the end of next week, and I'm having a really really hard time with it. This sucks.

I feel depressed because I have to leave Provo soon. I'm not going to miss Provo, but I am going to miss my new life here. I made so many great friends. And most of them will be here with me next year. Which is fabulous. But I can't even bring myself to think of next fall yet. It's going to be really hard on me at first, to not have Ty here. It'll definitely be a big change. And I know that eventually I'll be fine, but a piece of me will be missing the whole time he's gone.

I feel happy because maybe I'll feel well enough tonight to go to FHE. We're having a pizza party. I already bought the cheese, and I really want to go.

Hey. It's 12:35. Right now. Usually I'm in English. I'm glad I didn't go. I emailed my teacher this morning and it didn't sound like I was going to miss anything. Our weekend assignments are due Wednesday. I'm really sad I'm missing Book of Mormon, though. I love that class. Maybe Amanda, Ty, and Suzanne will give me the lesson later.

I'm really tired all of a sudden. Maybe the daytime cold drugs are making me sleepy. Hey, they're not supposed to do that, cheaters.

Ty: "Maybe you need to drink some water."
Wistie: "Yeah, just drink some water."

I'm So Sick of Winter

It snowed last night. I woke up, and Wistie told me to look out the window. And it was all white. And more white stuff was coming down from the sky. What the crap is this? I thought it was spring?

Quote of the Day:
"I know Chelsea paid homage to the snow demons under her bed."

Holi Krishna! Holi Krishna!

I had the coolest evening! So up in Spanish Fork there is an Indian temple called the Krishna Temple. Krishna is their God. And every year they have a festival called the Festival of Colors to celebrate Holi. Holi was the illegitimate son of the King, and he liked to pray a lot. The king didn't like that, so he tried to burn Holi. But Krishna blessed him so he didn't burn, but he shone with the light of God.

It was so fun! We went and waited in line for a while to get the color (which was brightly colored corn starch). Then we went inside the temple. They had a gift shop, and some Indian food which I'm sure was really good, but I didn't get any. Then upstairs they had a big room with chairs, benches, and rugs, and beautiful chandelier, and a big shrine. There was a big deck all the way around, too. They had a stage outside where there were people dancing and singing. It was way cool. Then at 6, they lit a fire, and the color throwing began! Everyone throws all this powder at each other, and get completely covered. It was awesome!

And the color throwing began!

Almost completely covered, but not close to done yet.

Our teeth look ridiculously white. And I look really blonde.

Our whole group right before we left.

I had so much fun! I can't wait to go next year. It was so cool to experience a new culture. While we were throwing it there was a guy getting the crowd to chant "Holi Krishna! Holi Holi!" It was pretty cool. I wanted to break into singing "GIRLY MAAAAN!" but I figured that it might quite possibly be offensive... If you don't know what I'm talking about watch this video:

Although I did do Bhangra, an Indian dance I learned in my folk dance class last semester. It was way cool.

And if you want to see more pictures that what I posted here, you can go to my photobucket. I'll be putting them up sometime tomorrow after church, so check for them soon.

So after I got home Ty came over. Since he had a lot of Econ homework to do, he didn't go with us to the festival. And Amanda, Ben, Ty and I went to Cafe Rio. But it was completely packed, so we went to IHOP. It was fantastic. Half the people there were all colorful like we were. Then Amanda, Ty and I went and saw the movie 27 Dresses. It was really cute :) Then I came home and finally got a shower. Since I was covered in mostly red and pink, my shower was interesting. Have you seen the movie Psycho? When all the color was washing off of me and going down the drain, the only thing I could think of is that scene when the girl gets murdered. It was really creepy. But it all washed off surprisingly easy. I was happy.

And We Go to BYU?

BYU is being hit with a plague. A plague of children. Seriously, they are everywhere today. What is going on? I love watching them. There was a big group of kids, probably about 8 or 9 years old, and there was this boy and girl holding hands. It was cute.

So I took a break from writing my rough draft this afternoon and went to Great Harvest with Amanda. We had a pretty interesting conversation.

Amanda: "How do you make bread suggestive?"
Me: "I can make anything sound suggestive."
Amanda: "Is your loaf pull-apart?"
Me: "Wow. That was lame."

Other Suggestive Bread Phrases
"You should toast that now."

"I'll stick two pieces of mine in yours"

"Do you want me to butter yours?"

"Yeast makes bread rise. You wanna know what makes me rise?"

"Would you like to be involved in MY Great Harvest?"

Lame suggestive phrases:
"You could have a net weight of two pounds."

"Put your thiamine next to mine"

"Mmm. Crunchy."

Quotes of the Day:
Me: "Can you imagine me in a strip club?"
Amanda: "Uh huh."

and

Me: "What's the first name of that guy from 'Everybody Loves Raymond'?"

My Muse is Taking a Vacation

I am feeling soooo uncreative today. Which is bad because I'm trying to piece together an outline for my research paper. Which is very unsuccessful at this point. I am so done with school.

I am so sorry!!! It's my fault!!! Yesterday I said to myself, "This weather is SO amazing! I think spring is finally here! I think that it's going to be warm for good!" And I didn't knock on wood. I cursed it. It's my fault that it's freezing and stormy and windy today. I apologize.

Today I was walking through the Wilk and a little boy ran by me. It was the cutest thing I've ever seen. He had little squeakies on his shoes, and with every step he took, there was a little squeak. It made me so happy. When I have kids I'm getting them shoes with squeakies on them. Especially since it would be easier to keep track of them.

After I finish this wretched outline I have an easier weekend ahead of me. The last few weeks have been close to misery for me. At least I think it will be easier. I have to check to see when my rough draft for my paper is due. I actually think I have to email it to my peer group by
Friday night *whimper*.

Oh wow. A lady just walked by me wearing all hot pink. Hot pink pants, long sleeved shirt, and jacket. Where does one find hot pink pants?

I'm feeling kind of spastic today. And slightly exhausted. I had a hard time falling asleep yesterday.

Why am I not working? I'm really good at procrastinating.

I hope that my muse decided to go somewhere nice for vacation. If I could go on vacation right now I'd go somewhere tropical. I've always wanted to go to Hawaii.

Out of the corner of my eye I thought I just saw a boy go into the girl's bathroom. Let's hope I'm wrong.

Sugar and Spice has really fantastic hot chocolate. You should go get some.

Oh, the person just came out. It was definitely a girl.

Hey you can help me with my paper. What television shows display a negative stereotype of a husband and wife? The man has to be idiotic, lazy, clueless about house chores, and not good with his children. And the woman is more hardworking, organized, kind of like wears the pants in the family. I thought of Malcolm in the Middle, Everybody Loves Raymond, and The Simpsons. But I don't watch TV so I don't know of any other shows that fit in this category. Any ideas?

I petted a llama!

Yep! For Choose2Give week on campus there were two llamas outside between the MARB and the Eyring. I like flipped out when I saw them and called Ty right away. I think I worried him a little bit at first because I was like, "Are you on campus right now? You have to come to the MARB right now, like ASAP," in a really urgent tone. I was just that excited. And I brushed a white one and took a picture by the brown one. Ty said I was like Carl from Jimmy Neutron. Well, how would you act if you got to pet your favorite animal? I'm so getting a herd of llamas when I'm older.

Wait... how are llamas supposed to motivate you to donate money to BYU?... What do they have anything to do with choose2give?

Hey. I just realized something. People like to make fun of me. A lot. Usually about things that I say. Do I sound like an idiot a lot?

Half a Post But Not Really

I don't really have time to write. But I just want to say one of the longest days of my life is over!!! I went to class, wrote a paper, studied for a test, went to a two hour class, took a chem test (which I did better on than I expected!), went on a treasure hunt for my dance shoes which I left on campus somewhere yet again, went to dinner with Ty, went to a dance practice for my Metals exam Thursday, and came home and watched the first half of Phantom of the Opera. Wow I think that's one of the longest sentences ever.

And may I add that Ty is the best ever. Why? He made me breakfast because he knew my day was going to be crazy. And he took me to class this morning. And he drove to campus to help me look for my dance shoes. And he took me to dinner at Brick Oven because I had never had it. And he took me back to campus for my dance practice so I didn't have to be out at night alone, and he waited in the car for me. And he watched a musical with me. No one else could be better to me than he is.

Anyway I wanted to write mostly so I could add the quote of the day, because it's flippin' sweet!

Heck yes I do.

I Really am a Girl...

Okay, there were some requests to hear the puppy story. It's not even that good of a story. Just kind of gross. You won't think it's funny or anything.

When I was at dinner Sunday at Ty's Uncle Troy's house, we watched a movie after dinner, and they had to leave a few minutes before the movie was over. So we finished it and went back upstairs to get our stuff and leave. Since they had left, they put their new puppy in a little fenced area in the kitchen. It was crying really loud, and I was like, aww poor thing wants some attention. Now, I've never had a dog before, and have no clue what to do with them. So while Ty was getting some leftovers to take home I picked the dog up and was holding it. I said, "It better not pee on me. My friend had a puppy, and she was playing with it, then I wanted to hold it. So right when I picked it up it peed on me. I really hope that doesn't happen again." Don't worry, it didn't pee on me. So I put it back in the cage thing and it starts crying even louder. I said, "I don't know what you want!" So I went and picked it up again, and set it down in the kitchen to let it run around. Right when I set it down it peed on the floor, right there in front of me. I just slapped my hand to my head and said, "I knew it! I knew it was going to pee or something!" So I cleaned it up while Ty took it outside in case it needed to go more... When he came back in I told him that when I get married, if my family ever wants a dog, I am not cleaning up after it.

Um, the end. Good story, huh. I can hear Chelsea saying, "Wow. Great story. You should tell that one at parties." Anyone who knows Chelsea would understand.

So I've been kinda sad and depressed the last few weeks. And I have a few guesses why. There's more than one reason. But today was like a miracle. First, I had an amazing Book of Mormon class and that really made me think about a lot of things, and humbled me a little bit. Then I decided to walk home. I put in my earphones and put on some happy, upbeat music. At that moment I decided to not be sad anymore. Being sad is lame. You feel stupid, everyone else thinks you're acting stupid (well, okay, not stupid but you're definitely not fun to be around), and you bring everyone else down. Anyway, I was listening to my music and started singing along, and thinking about someone. As if you don't know who I'm talking about. But my mood just like, took a 180. I was totally rocking out by this point, probably putting on a show for all the cars... oh yeah I was in public, huh? sweet. And the weather was just amazing! I was looking around watching people and there were so many out and about today! It was wonderful. I love spring!!!

Happy Easter!

Guess what! The "Easter Bunny" visited me today! I got up this morning and ate breakfast with Wistie, and we discussed how sad it is that this would be the first year that we didn't get an Easter basket. So then we went to church, and Ty walked me home (his plane came in this morning and he got home around noon. I was very excited to see him again! Especially since his trip was longer than we expected). So then we walked up to my front door, and there was a little basket by it. A little note next to it said, "Happy Easter Allison!" I was so flippin' excited! I was thinking, who is this from? And I looked at the handwriting and was like, "I don't recognize the handwriting. Maybe it's from my sister-in-law?" And then I picked up the note and looked on the back. The same message was written on it, but smaller. At that time, Ty said, "I figured the first time I wrote it that it was too small." It was from him! He had put the basket by my door before he walked to church to get me. He is absolutely the most amazing guy I've ever met! So I got lots of yummy candy, some stuffed bunnies, and the August Rush CD! I've been listening to it nonstop since I got home.

I also had a great dinner. I went with Ty to his Aunt and Uncle's house in Pleasant Grove. We had steak, potatoes, salad, and homemade rolls. It was all so good! The steak was perfect and the rolls were nice and soft. Mmm I wish I could eat like that every night!

I decided something. I'm not good with puppies. I think they're cute and soft and cuddly. But I don't know what they want when they cry. I'll save you the story. Anyway, moral of the story, when I have my own family, if they ever want a dog, it's their responsibility.
